The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has recently released two newly revised vapor intrusion guidance documents; final VI guidance and a VI Mitigation Advisory document. The annual AEHS conference will take place in San Diego March 19-22. An EPA workshop on vapor intrusion will provide updates on the status of the revised Vapor Intrusion Guidance. ASTM recently released ASTM E2790-11 - Standard Guide for Identifying and Complying with Continuing Obligations. This guide is intended to supplement ASTM E1527-05 (the Phase 1 ESA Standard). This guide focuses only on certain continuing obligation pertaining to land use restrictions, institutional controls, and taking responsible steps with respect to releases of chemicals of concern.
